Study overview
This multicenter, randomized, open-label Phase 1b/2 trial compares valemetostat tosylate plus pembrolizumab with pembrolizumab alone in treatment-naïve participants with advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The study focuses on tumors with high PD-L1 expression, defined by the protocol as a tumor proportion score of at least 50%, and without actionable genomic alterations.
What researchers are evaluating
Researchers are assessing safety, tolerability, dosing, and anticancer activity of the combination compared with pembrolizumab alone. Randomization assigns participants to a study group according to the protocol. Valemetostat is investigational in this setting, so its benefits and risks are not fully established. Study procedures may include physical examinations, blood tests, electrocardiograms, imaging, tumor assessments, medication reviews, and monitoring for side effects. Tissue or blood testing may be required to confirm tumor characteristics.
Considering participation
Eligibility may depend on cancer type and stage, PD-L1 results, genomic testing, previous systemic treatment, measurable disease, organ function, current medicines, and overall health.
