Breast cancer research
California Research Institute conducts clinical research for selected breast cancer populations. Current listings may include studies involving estrogen-receptor-positive, HER2-negative, locally advanced, metastatic, or brain-metastatic disease. Every research protocol has specific eligibility requirements, treatment plans, procedures, potential risks, and enrollment limits.
The summaries below provide general educational information about listed studies. A study coordinator must review current enrollment status and initial eligibility questions. Screening may involve medical history, previous treatment, laboratory testing, imaging, tumor characteristics, and other protocol-defined information. Screening does not guarantee enrollment.
ELECTRA breast cancer study
A Phase 1b/2 study evaluating elacestrant with abemaciclib in women and men with brain metastases from ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer.
Lasofoxifene and abemaciclib study
A randomized study comparing lasofoxifene plus abemaciclib with fulvestrant plus abemaciclib for advanced or metastatic ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer with an ESR1 mutation.
